Piedmont Natural Gas

These three centers are in Nashville, Tennessee; Spartanburg, South Carolina; and Charlotte, North Carolina. These centers offer training workshops. These include techniques for cooking with natural gas, recipe development, and comparisons of efficiency.

Piedmont’s Natural Gas Technology Centers provide visitors with first-hand experience with natural gas foodservice equipment. And this is all with performance, emissions and efficiency information at their fingertips. The Center serves several purposes which range from providing a meeting space to offering a full-scale testing facility for food service industry professionals.

With 4,700 square feet of meeting and work space, the Center can accommodate up to 60 people for a classroom seating arrangement or 90 people for auditorium seating. There are large prep and clean up areas. The Center also has two 10-foot sections of kitchen ventilation hood, and six gas and an assortment of electric connections. These connections allow for the simultaneous testing and comparison of the efficiency and performance of several different types of natural gas and electric equipment. The Center also boasts tankless instantaneous water heaters and condensing and high-efficiency commercial natural gas water heaters.
