GFEN supports the Commercial Food Services industry by identifying, developing, and implementing improved products and appliances that demonstrate superior efficiency and performance characteristics. This initiative contributes to overall national energy efficiency and DSM objectives which help maximize utilization of the natural gas as the energy source in the twenty-first century.
Thus, various gas utilities have set up facilities around the country where national chains and local operators may go to test and evaluate a wide variety of equipment with their customized menu items. These Evaluation Facilities afford an excellent opportunity to check out current equipment, see how it stacks up against competitive brands and evaluates the type of energy used, gas or electric.
